Collins Edwin Sports Club (The Gladiators) was established in 2010 by distinguished great men of like minds whom are proven sports administrators, managers, coaches, ex players and businessmen for the sole purpose of taking the youths off the street and creating and enabling environment for their development through sports, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents to the world and market same as professional sports men and women. These players are trained and developed in high moral standards, fear of God and top-notch expertise and maximum support of their parents and guardians. Collins Edwin Sports Club provides a serene and conducive atmosphere for breeding real talents in football, ensuring their welfare and comfort as well as encouraging and supporting the academically. Our players are intensively brewed in tactical, individual and collective brilliance, turning them into real and gifted professionals. We produce nothing short of the best. This sports club is affiliated to Lagos State Football Association (L.S.F.A) and Nigeria Football Federation (N.F.F)

  • Holds the record of the longest unbeaten run in the 20-team N.S Premier League. Remained unbeaten in 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons.
  • Currently plays in Nationwide League One (Division 1)


Over the years, the training programmes, campings, tournaments and projects organised by Collins Edwin Sports Club has tremendously reshaped the Nigeria Grassroot Football development system. Professionals plying their trades around the globe today whom at one time or the other benefited in our programmes are numerous to mention. Some of the players include;

  • Samuel Aaron: Super Eagles of Nigeria (played for Collins Edwins Sports Club in the 2011 Samsung Cup which C.E.S.C emerged as Champions)
  • Okon Samuel: Golden Eglets 2013 Under17 Gold Medal winning team. The electrifying left full back played for C.E.S.C between 2010 to 2012. He was scouted by Ex International Nnduka Ugbade while playing for E.S.C at the 2011 Samsung Cup which the club emerged as champions. He currently plays for Akwa United Fc in the Nigeria Premier Football League)
  • Anyaora Ugonna: Played in Sweden, having secured a transfer from F.K HAUGESUND in
  • Francis Pius: Plays in Malta
  • Osigwe Chibuzor: Rivers United Fc
  • Paul Chimezie: Plays in Malta
  • Kufre Ebong: Nigeria Under 23 and Akwa United
  • Eze Vincent: Played for Rizispor in Turkey and currently playing for 2020 Belarusian Premier League champions, Fc Shakhtyor
  • Paschal Onyedika Okoli: played for Bursaspor in Turkey, and currently plays for Bosnian premier league side, Fc Čelik Zenica
  • Shokunbi Dare Samson: Plays for CD FEIRENSE in Portugal
  • Sopuruchukwu Bruno: Plays for Club De Vila Real in Portugal
  • Ifeanyi David Nduka: Plays for Vista in Russia

  • Chisom Orji: Made history as the first Nigeria amateur league player to be called up to the Nigeria senior National Team, the SUPER EAGLES. Also plays for the national U20 side, the FLYING
  • Tijani Samson Okikiola: Captained the Nigeria U17 (Golden Eaglets) team to 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup. Plays for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Red Bull Salzburg in

This world class facility hosts the management, staff and players of Nigeria Premier Football League team, Rangers Football Club, Enugu and Ingas Football Club Enugu. It has over the years hosted refresher courses for match officials, football managers and other conferences of great repute.
